L.T. to New Orleans?

It could happen if Drew Brees has his way. In an interview with XX 1090 AM, Brees stated his wish to have his old teammate and good friend LaDainian Tomlinson come play with him again in New Orleans.

“I mean, come on, it’s an easy question….I’d love to have him in New Orleans. I’d love to be his teammate again. I think L.T.’s got a lot of great years left in him so we’ll see what happens.” said Brees.

Brees also admitted to speaking with Tomlinson, and that the conversations have touched on L.T.’s current contract situation.

When asked if he is aware of the NFL’s strict tampering rules, Brees replied it was “just two buddies talkin’ on the phone.”

If things didn’t work out in San Diego, it would be interesting to see how it would work with Tomlinson and the Saints considering they already have a burner of a running back which they used a first round pick by the name of Reggie Bush.

With all that said L.T. would be a great fit with the Saints. He could move into the mold that Marshall Faulk played with the Saints in the pass friendly offense.
