nfl_draft_06512

This year, the draft will start an hour later than last year, 4:00 p.m. EDT and like last year, the first two rounds will be on Saturday while the other five will be on Sunday.

I believe that the NFL is seeing dollar signs instead of what the fans really want. What made the draft special (to me at least) was the idea of being able to sit on your couch for an entire weekend with your friends and watch football in April and see how much (or how little) your team improved overnight. Its about the allure of the potential. Prime Time should mean nothing good for the draft in my eyes other than more money for the guys that already make plenty.

Ideal draft would be to start on Saturday at noon and allow for only 5 minutes to make their pick. These teams have had MONTHS to prepare for this event, 10 min in my eyes are just not necessary.

Here is the official draft order per PROFOOTBALLTALK
